MicXchange Radio operates within the professional music-licensing ecosystem. Eligible music usage is tracked and applicable performances are reported in accordance with MicXchange's actual licensing and royalty-reporting obligations.

Verified Licensing & Reporting Relationships

An organization appears here only after its relationship has been verified in Admin and approved for public disclosure.

No licensing or reporting relationships have been publicly verified at this time.

MicXchange does not publicly represent a licensing or reporting relationship with any organization unless that relationship has been verified and approved for public disclosure. Organizational logos are displayed only where MicXchange has authorization to use those marks.

How Radio Royalties Work

Songwriter & Publisher Royalties (PROs)

Organizations such as ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and GMR generally concern public-performance rights associated with musical compositions — the underlying works written by songwriters and composers and administered by publishers.

Recording Artist & Master Royalties

SoundExchange administers certain statutory digital-performance royalties associated with sound recordings for qualifying non-interactive digital transmissions. This is separate from songwriter/publisher royalties.

These organizations are not interchangeable. Public-performance royalties (compositions) and digital-performance royalties (sound recordings) are separate rights, administered by different organizations, with different rules.

Register Your Music

Creators should register their works with the appropriate rights organizations to be eligible for royalties through those organizations’ processes.

MicXchange tracks and reports applicable usage. Royalty eligibility, calculation and payment are determined by the applicable rights organization and its rules.

MicXchange does not guarantee that every play will result in a royalty payment. Royalty eligibility depends on many factors, including the rights organization's rules, the type of usage, the territory, and whether the work is properly registered.
